Inside the gym

QR check-in: a small detail in a smoother day.

A membership code provides a clear starting point. A well-organized reception still needs a consistent team workflow.

Why a code helps

Similar names and a growing membership list make a unique identifier useful. A membership code does not replace the record; it offers a shorter path to the right one.

Agree on a consistent sequence

Read the code, confirm the correct member and review the required membership information before recording attendance. A shared sequence reduces the different interpretations that can develop across a reception team.

Keep a clear name or phone search as an alternative when a card is forgotten. Ask the software team about compatible devices and setup rather than assuming every reader or phone works the same way.

Privacy belongs in the workflow

A membership card does not need to display every personal detail. Review the printed fields and restrict account information to authorized users. Discuss a clear lost-card process with the software team as well.

Test it where it will be used

Check lighting, scanner placement and printed code size. Listen to the reception team’s feedback. An improvement often starts with a small change in the workflow rather than adding more tools.
